📅 Important Dates

  • First Day of School: Monday, August 31
  • Welcome Back Emails:
On the afternoon of Thursday, August 27, teachers will email families with classroom information, first-day reminders, and where students will meet on the school grounds.
  • Optional Open House:
    Friday, August 28 | 9:30 – 10:30 AM
Families are welcome to visit the school, meet their teacher, and see the classroom. This is optional and designed to help students feel comfortable before the first day.

🍎 FOOD SHARING

As we approach year-end celebrations, we’d like to remind families that food sharing between students is not permitted at school.

This includes:

  • Sharing snacks at recess or lunch
  • Sending treats or food items to share with the class
  • Bringing food for year-end celebrations

Our school community includes many students with a wide range of allergies (including wheat, dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, legumes, fruits, mustard-family foods, dyes, chocolate, honey, and more). Even small amounts of shared food can pose a serious risk.

To help keep all students safe, we ask that families do not bring or send any food intended to be shared.

We truly appreciate your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe environment for every child.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Brinson at mlbrinson@cbe.ab.ca.

💛 Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!

On behalf of the full Northern Lights School staff, we want to thank you for an amazing year!  We feel truly thankful to be part of such a caring and kind community.

For families moving to other schools, towns/cities, provinces, or countries, we wish you all the best next year!

Have a relaxing and fun summer!
