As we wrap up another wonderful school year, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your generosity, kindness, and support throughout the year. It has been such a privilege to teach your children this year. They have made me smile every day, and I am so proud of all they have accomplished. Happy almost last day of school!   IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES June 25 – Report Cards open to parents – PLEASE DOWNLOAD YOUR CHILD’S REPORT CARD SO YOU HAVE A COPY June 26 – Last day of classes for Grades 1-5 – If your child will be ending the year early, please let the homeroom teacher know in advance 🌟 A FOND FAREWELL TO OUR CARRINGTON FAMILIES 💙 As we look ahead to the coming school year, we want to take a moment to acknowledge an important change in our school community. With the recent redesignation, students and families from Carrington will be joining another school. While we understand that this transition brings new opportunities, it also comes with mixed emotions. Carrington families have been an important and valued part of our school.   Today: - Today was play day! Ask me all about it - We did a farewell clap out for our Grade 5 students  - We played literacy and math games - We did an art project  - We did an end of year review game to practice different vocabulary words that we have learned this year. Ask me about it  IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATE June 25 – SPIRIT DAY – PJ and Movie Day. Our class is welcome to bring a stuffed animal to school tomorrow if they would like. Please ensure that the stuffed animal is small enough to fit inside their backpack. Today: - We did a bin clean and brought some of our materials home - Ask me what we did on the chromebooks - We did Indigenous art. Ask me what we did - We did freedom frenzy outside for P.E IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES This week – Student materials start coming home June 24 – Play Day activities – This year’s theme is…..THE ZOO! Students can dress up if they wish. Freezies will also be provided. Email your teacher if your child is NOT eating a Freezie. (If they are eating one, no action is needed on your part.) Please dress for the weather and bring bug spray and sunscreen if you would like as some of the games will be outside! June 25 – SPIRIT DAY – PJ and Movie Day.
