Monday June 8



Today:

- We have a new literacy station called "Reader's Theatre". Ask me all about it!

- In Math we started our new unit of statistics. Ask me what we did

- We had Music and P.E. Ask me what we did

- In Social we started our year end project. Ask me what I chose to do 

- We finished our Science research today on the chromebooks. Tomorrow we are making our own non- fiction book about our topic 

- We continued our daily read aloud of "Lemonade War". Ask me to tell you about the text to self, text to text, and text to world connections I made to the story

June 9 – 6:00 – In Person School Council Meeting at NLS

June 11 – SPIRIT DAY: Imagination Day

Optional: Students can dress up if they wish to be ANYTHING that they want to be. This could be a unicorn, a flower, a rockstar, or how they were on the first day of school. If they don't want to dress up, that's fine too!

June 12 – All library books due back by today please

June 12 – 9:15 am – Volunteer Tea for this year’s volunteers (If you volunteered this year and plan to attend, please RSVP to mlbrinson@cbe.ab.ca if you did not do so yet.)

June 18 – Subway Fun Lunch / COBS Treat Day (Place orders at healthyhunger.ca by June 13 if participating)

June 21 – National Indigenous Peoples Day

June 24 – AM Play Day activities

June 24 – 2:15 - Grade Five Farewell / Send Off for our Grade Five families. (See Mrs. Brinson’s email that was sent to Grade Five families for details.)

 






We got our scripts for our reader's theatre task. Ask me what character I am. 
We have so many future actors and actresses in this class!

 Today: - Ask me what we did in literacy stations! - In math we did a review on comparing and ordering decimals! - Ask me what we did in P.E! - We did a guided drawing of a haunted house. Then tomorrow we will write about it! Reminders: - School pictures were sent home :)

 Today: - We continued working on our self portraits! - We did some outdoor activities. Ask me what we did!  - We read the Name Jar and talked about the significance of our names! - We did a sharing circle and shared 2 positive things that happened during the week. Ask me what I shared! - We had our first music class today. Ask me what we did!
