Today:

- We continued working on our zones of regulation. We talked about the different feeling that you can experience in each zone 

- We played soccer games in P.E!

- We did our opinion writing on the best snack. Ask me what I wrote!

- We did an addition check in. Ask me how I felt about it! 

- Ask me what literacy station I was in!

November 28 – Kinder to Grade Five – Daytime Parent / Teacher / Student Learning Conferences (No school for K-5)

HAVE YOU BOOKED YOUR PARENT/TEACHER/STUDENT LEARNING CONFERENCE YET?

Only 35% of our families have booked a Parent/Teacher Conference this coming week. We ask that all families book a 15-minute slot with the homeroom teacher during the available times. All bookings will be done through your parent MyCBE account at sis.cbe.ab.ca.

Conferences times that you can book your 15-minute slot are as follows:

Friday, November 21 – 9:15 – 1:15 (for Kindergarten only)

Thursday, November 27 from 4:30 – 7:45 (for Kindergarten to Grade Five)

Friday, November 28 from 9:15 – 2:00 (for Kindergarten to Grade Five)


We had a class discussion about how we can be independent in Grade 4 and how we can problem solve when we are stuck on a task. Ask me to share what we talked about:

 Today: - We continued working on our self portraits! - We did some outdoor activities. Ask me what we did!  - We read the Name Jar and talked about the significance of our names! - We did a sharing circle and shared 2 positive things that happened during the week. Ask me what I shared! - We had our first music class today. Ask me what we did! Today: - We went on a community walk!! - We did an art project about trees in the Fall! Ask me what we did! - Ask me what we did in music! - We had a sharing circle. We shared 2 positive things that happened this week. Ask me what I shared!  Reminders: At this time, the CBE is preparing for an Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) strike beginning on Monday, Oct. 6. Here is what this means for CBE families: All classes will be cancelled. Do not send your child to school. Transportation will be cancelled. Do not leave your child at a bus stop. Please visit the CBE Labour Action page for all the information you need to know about how this impacts athletics, trips, extracurricular activities, before & after school care, and other topics.
