 Today:

- We learned about icebergs and started our iceberg art. Ask me what we did!

- In math we continued practicing duration. Ask me to solve the math questions below!

- We did a comprehension activity. Ask me what we did!

- We practiced our games literacy station. Ask me what games I played!

- Ask me what we did in P.E!

- In science we played the "sort it" game and started our waste sorting activity! 


Reminders: 

- The Terry Fox run is on Thursday. Our class will be collecting Toonies for Terry. If you would like to donate for the Terry Fox run, please bring your money in by Thursday! 

- If you would like your child to be on the blog, please give permission through your CBE account!

  We are so excited to be starting the 2025-2026 school year with you!  This year, our whole school will be using Blogger to make regular agenda posts. To make it easier for you, you can add the blog right on to the home screen of your phone or  iPad by following the directions on the “Adding Blogger to Home Screen” document.  We hope this makes the communication between home and school easier and opens great conversations between you and your child. The CBE (Calgary Board of Education) and Mrs. Brinson will be communicating information to  you through School Messenger email titled ‘Northern Lights News for ___.”  This email will include a link to the  Northern Lights School Website ,  so messages can be translated into any language. To make sure you receive these email messages,  please  SUBSCRIBE   using the email address you  gave to the  school.

Today: - We went on a community walk!! - We did an art project about trees in the Fall! Ask me what we did! - Ask me what we did in music! - We had a sharing circle. We shared 2 positive things that happened this week. Ask me what I shared!  Reminders: At this time, the CBE is preparing for an Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) strike beginning on Monday, Oct. 6. Here is what this means for CBE families: All classes will be cancelled. Do not send your child to school. Transportation will be cancelled. Do not leave your child at a bus stop. Please visit the CBE Labour Action page for all the information you need to know about how this impacts athletics, trips, extracurricular activities, before & after school care, and other topics.
